The Universal Zulu Nation, or UZN is a pioneering force that has been in effect since the inception of Hip Hop itself (1974) and continues to represent and innovate while striving for worldwide peace, equality and empowerment. The four main elements of Hip Hop are deejaying, emceeing, b-boying/b-girling and graffiti.

Mission
Universal Zulu Nation 61 (Australia) our mission is: To educate, develop and improve the present state of mind of adults and youth around the world. To spread our message of love, peace and unity amongst all races through our ways and actions. To preserve the culture of Hip Hop and all art forms created from it and to use music as a medium for cultural exchange and understanding. To provide a safe haven to nurture the inherent genius of adults and youth around the world. To assist others in developing careers and opportunities as they express their God-given potential and talents.
Purpose of Zulu 61

To create and maintain high standards in the life of individuals within the world;

To perpetuate constructive high standards in the life of individuals within the world;

To foster an understanding of the structure and method of operation of the Universal Zulu Nation

To address, coordinate and develop action strategies on matters of mutual concern, that will benefit the peoples of the world;

To serve as the conduit for such action plans that may be developed

To assist area organisations (political or non-profit) in attaining their education and cultural objectives for the benefit of the community at large.
